"For the imagination we nourish is as vital as the place we call home."
Storytelling is at the core of Roberto’s penchant for creating. From an early age, he would write short stories that used his imagination and surroundings as main characters, developing a constant influx of resources that transformed into the tools he would later turn into a career.
He graduated with a Magna Cum Laude degree in Communications from USMA, in his native Panama City, Panama. Later on, he would discover a way to translate his writing style into a vivid, real approach through filmmaking.
Having earned a Postgraduate Filmmaking Diploma from London Film Academy in the United Kingdom, he has embarked on his most demanding project to this day: his first feature film, currently titled ‘Paréntesis’.
Some of his credits include:
- Relatos (Director & Producer), 2016
- Hoy te Libero (Director), 2016
- Run From The French (Director), 2016
- Obsessively Optimistic (Producer), 2016
- Melancolía: La Historia Detrás (Director), 2014
- El Tango de Pablo (Director), 2012
His work as an audiovisual artist has also been featured in collective exhibitions like Trampolín (Casa del Soldado – Panama City, 2017) and América Late (Casa América – Madrid, 2017).
Fluent both in Spanish and English, Roberto has helped companies and brands from different parts of the world develop written material that incorporates the depth of his work and the practical needs they require.
In addition, Roberto's extensive experience as a voice-over artist has allowed him to work with important brands in Latin America, being featured as the voice of the Panama Canal Visitor Center.
